Muiscas
The Muisca culture was characterized by having rituals or traditions related mainly to water, an element they considered sacred, that is why several lakes in Cundinamarca, Boyacá and Santander were consecrated as places inhabited by some divinity as part of their beliefs.
Bathing several times a day in the rivers, taking baths with the family or for a special occasion such as the birth of a baby or the coronation of a new leader, in addition to this, some baths were performed with a very abundant element at that time which was gold.
In their traditions, their incredible connection with nature and their environment became predominant, for the same reason their main rituals were based on the respect and worship of nature, and even included the honoring of spirits.
In addition, music, dance and handicrafts are important expressions of their cultural identity, transmitted from generation to generation for the preservation of their culture.
